Doing the Orb Thing

I have a lot of "stuff." One of my tasks in my retired life is to go through my stuff and get rid of anything that no longer carries meaning for me. I came across this ORB, and though it's been years that I've held it in my hands, this is a keeper. It is like my guitar, a part of my true self that has been neglected.
It's a beautiful object. You can turn it inside and out and make it into different configurations. The brochure says it is a "modern adaptation of an ancient design, precision handcrafted from stainless steel wire." I remember when I bought it at a New Age bookstore at the Ward Warehouse long ago (if my memory is correct), the person demonstrating it told a creation story with it.

That was actually the selling point, because I love storytelling. The brochure illustrates what the different designs mean, but I am sure the storyteller can make it mean whatever she wants.
Here is my story:
Once there was emptiness.

And the emptiness felt this desire to make something.  So it played around until it found a shape that felt right. A sphere.
Eons passed, and the sphere felt lonely, and wanted a companion. But it didn't realize that in order to do this, it became less of a sphere. Instead of a perfect sphere, there were now two imperfect, globs.

And the other would imitate the first.
They were dissatisfied with this state, and one tried to break free, and be different.

And this went on and on.

Until one eon, they made this. And they were both proud of their creation. In their happiness over the beauty they had created, they hugged.

And they liked it. In their closeness, they remembered together the perfect sphere, which was their home. And in that moment of realization, they became the sphere again.
