In the Right Light

Picture
In the right light,
even the brown weeds
overgrowing on the side
of the highway
are beautiful.

And don't forget
the purple flowers
that fall to the grass in May,
earning the name
the custodians use,
rubbish tree.

And don't forget
those dead-ish trees
at the beach
at Kaloko-Honokohau,
standing leafless and shiny
on the sand bank

And don't forget
those fallen velvety pink flowers,
turning brown too fast,
on the sidewalk
in Los Angeles.

And don't forget
loving your enemies.

In the right light
In the right frame
In the right perception,
It's beautiful.
