Our hotel was the Melasti Beach Resort and Spa on Legian Beach in Denpasar. It was an older hotel, but the grounds were very nice and the morning brunch was great to have. Our last day was spent shopping for the most part. We also did massages, and some good eating.

When we came back from our trip to Munduk, we had dinner at a restaurant near our hotel. I don't remember the name of it, but it was very good. They had this black rice pudding that was so good, it inspired me to learn how to make it.
The others had raved about this restaurant, the Watercress Cafe, so I am thankful that they wanted to go again. There were beautiful salads on the menu, but I opted for a gourmet burger.

On this day, we had given Kadek the day off, so we got around by taxis, and in the end, on foot. We got dropped off in the area, and knew if we kept walking, we would eventually reach our hotel. I think it was more than an hour, but we did finally make it. We learned that this sunset celebration, coming to the beach to eat and drink, is a daily event.

Maria stayed a day longer than us, so she booked a hotel room in a high end resort area at the Grand Hyatt.  We went there to drop her off and enjoyed some of the amenities.

For dinner, we went to this seaside seafood restaurant. It was amazing!

A grilled corn vendor. I waited for it seemed a long time, but it was worth it.

This was a great Last supper for us to end our stay in Bali. Couldn't have been better planned.

I have traveled quite a bit, and am using this page to record some memories. Travel is a wonderful education, expanding your view of the world, of other cultures, of the beauty of diversity.
