... a blog to make sense of the world through writing and acts of creativity, to reflect on and respond to the crazy world in which we live. Can beauty, creativity, compassion, and activism emerge from this tension?
I have turned the story of my play, Pulani, into a story poem. When I laid it out on a dummy, I saw it was going to be 48 pages, which is longer that a typical 24 or 32 page picture book. I am on page 36, so I am almost done.
I do have a deadline, since I will be going to Guam in a month to work on the production of Pulani there. (another blog entry). I want to do readings to promote the play and the book. So I gave myself a daily goal of 2 pages a day when March began. I have been able to keep that schedule, but I cannot do much more than that. I could, but then my life gets out of balance.
I have to get in my tango lessons, my walks, by Voice and American Idol, my Facebook, my reading. You know. Important things.
