My fascinating, soulful daughter Dance hosts a radio show on Guam called Soul Sessions on Guam Public Radio, their time Saturday from 7 to 9 pm, and our time Friday from 11 - 1, live streamed. When I was working, I was so exhausted on Friday, that I had to set my alarm to wake me up to listen in, and then I would go in and out of sleep throughout the show. I still have the alarm, but I am able to be conscious as I listen. Since I have been drawing and painting illustrations for my children's book, I find it to be the perfect background music for my frame of mind at this time.
She blends traditional soul music and different forms of it as it as evolved through the years. I love hearing the oldies, which bring back memories of high school dances and listening to the radio. Then I get exposed to the new stuff, which I never would have but for this show. And I love hearing her voice. I love that she seems to really love what she's doing, really loves the music, and really loves sharing it. Here's the link.
