Mango Flowers Overflowing

Picture
All over Kona,
Mango flowers are in bloom.
They don't look like flowers,
but they act it,
beckoning its pollinators
to come have a taste.
All over Kona,
you see this.
Mango trees loaded
with these flower stems.

Last year,
we didn't have any mangoes.
I miss them.
I didn't notice the flowers back then,
Or a lack of them.
But I felt the lack
of mangoes
in the summer.
Bees
Butterflies
Flies
Whatever blessed creature
is drawn to feast on the
mango flower nectar,
Please come to our tree.
If our flower nectar
is as good as our mangoes,
You are in for
quite a treat.

For now,
Whenever I see
those over-full
mango flower stems
all over Kona,
I am filled with
the nectar of
Hope.
