I guess you know I love butterflies. That's not so unusual. I think it's a thing that a lot of people can relate to, the beauty that comes from its unlikely beginning stages, the lowly "worm". But, for some reason, I get all giddy. So, this was definitely a highlight.
Such an enjoyable place. I will never tire of butterflies.

This was such a sweet little girl who wanted to show us the butterfly and take her picture. Interesting, she wore this, her teenage sister wore a hijab and her mother was all black. Don't know what that's about, but it's interesting.

Not just butterflies here.

I believe this is their national butterfly.

There was a pavilion, Sherry took these of me looking down at the different parts of the park. It's like a rainforest garden with a netting over it. I am not happy with the pictures I took, but I savor the memories of being surrounded by butterflies.
After the butterfly park, we walked over to the bird park, which was so close, but the entrance was quite a bit away, so we walked quite a bit to get there.

I thought this flamingo was quite talented.

Beautiful owls.

We saw this scarlet ibis from afar and it kept coming closer and closer. So then, it was right beside us!
This was a huge park, and we had done so much walking getting to each park, that we were pretty tired here at the bird park, so we didn't even do the entire park.

I have traveled quite a bit, and am using this page to record some memories. Travel is a wonderful education, expanding your view of the world, of other cultures, of the beauty of diversity.
